naveed! naveed! naveed!
if i offended you with my previous deed
your forgiveness and mercy i do plead.
for i swear by Allah’s creed
hurting you was not my intention, indeed!
you are like a sister i go to in need
and it is with you i prefer to spend my eid.
but if this ode has not removed the seed
of sorrow in your heart that breeds,
go ahead! hit me till i bleed.
perhaps then, i shall die a shaheed
and from my blog, forever you will be freed.
